Session: 2018-19

  • The Inter House Art & Craft competition was held on 28th Dec. 2018 for classes VI to VIII.  Aravalli House bagged 1st position followed by Nilgiri House.

  • The Annual Proficiency Award Ceremony was organized by the school on 26th Dec. 2018 to honour and felicitate the students for their academic excellence and achievements in various Inter school competitions. On the occasion, a very enthralling Inter House Dance Competition was also organised.  Mr. V.K. Raizada, Executive Director Panipat Refinery and Petrochemicals, was the chief guest on the occasion.  He presented Gold Medals, Scholar Gowns, Scholar Badges and other prizes to the students.  A large number of parents were also present on the occasion.

  • A special assembly on Christmas for classes Nur to II was celebrated in the month of Dec. 2018 with great zeal and enthusiasm.  The assembly began with a skit depicting the birth of baby Jesus in Bethlehem.  Children of Nur presented a beautiful dance on Christmas song. A few children were dressed up as Santa distributing  chocolates and cookies among the students. Students enjoyed a lot and it was a mesmerizing event.

  • 05 students of class IX qualified the second level of SMTE (Science & Maths Talent Examination) organized by DPS Society in collaboration with SOF (Science Olympiad Foundation).  The second level exam was conducted at DPS Mathura Road on 16th Dec. 2018.

  • The school got different positions in the Inter DPS English Language Literary Festival ‐ 2018 (Online Category) competition organized  by the DPS Society at DPS Dwarka on 15th Dec'18.

  • The school organised a special assembly on "Safety and Security" in day to day life in association with Panipat Refinery. The guest speaker, Lt. Col. G.P.S. Virk (Retd.) from a nation wide renowned private security organisation "Knight's Sota", addressed the gathering of students. He gave them very practical and useful tips to keep themselves safe and secure. He advised the young students to remain vigilant to ward off any mishap.

  • 14 students of class VIII from our school appeared in DELF A1 exam‐2018.  This examination was held at DPS Mathura Road on 7th Dec. 2018.

  • Another jewel in the crown of DPS Panipat Refinery is British Council's International School Award, which the school was  awarded third time in a row for the period 2018‐2021. Earlier, the British Council bestowed International School Award on the school for the period of 2010‐2013 and  2014‐2017 .

  • The Proficiency Award Ceremony was organized in the school on 5th December 2018 to honour the students of classes VI to VIII for their academic excellence. On the occasion Mr. Vinod Sharma, Principal, presented Scholar Badges to the students. A very enthralling Inter House Music Competition was another highlight of the occasion. The first position was jointly bagged by Nilgiri and Shiwalik House.  

  • 01 student, Prakriti Batra of class IX attended an interaction session with the team of Haryana Vigyan Manch alongwith the students who were selected to participate in National Level Science Exhibition held at Govt. Sr. Sec. School, Sonepat on 2nd Dec. 2018.  Students were told about shortcomings for their projects and some improvement tips were given.

  • An Inter House English Skit competition was held on 30th Nov. 2018 for classes IX ‐ X on the topic ″Adult Literacy″.  Aravalli and Vindhyachal House jointly bagged first position followed by Nilgiri House.

  • Ms. Tiana Chopra, class IV won Cash Prize, Colours, LED Light & School Bag in the State Level Painting competition on ″Energy Conservation″ organized by Ministry of Power, Govt. of India in association with Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) Chandigarh held at Panchkula on 14th Nov. 2018.

  • Divyansh Rastogi of class XI won Gold Medal in Mixed Doubles' categories and Raghav of class IX won Bronze Medal in Singles' category in the prestigious CBSE National Level Badminton tournament held at Vadodara from 20th Nov. to 24th Nov. 2018.  They achieved this wonderful feat by competing with 27 teams from all over India including 12 teams from GULF ZONE.  Both Divyansh Rastogi and Raghav represented the school under 17 years category.  Earlier, they were also the winners of Silver Medal of CBSE Zonal Badminton Championship held at Karnal from 27th Sep to 2nd Oct 2018. 

  • 02 students (Anurag Mehta, Class VIII & Adrija Bera, Class X) qualified for state level of Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan (Online) exam‐2018 organised  in association with NCERT and Vijnana Bharti which was held at our school on 28th Nov. 2018 for classes VI to XI.

 

  • The senior team (Prakriti Batra & Parna Bhattacharya, class IX) of our school participated at state level exhibition conducted by National Children Science  Congress held at Baba Bishan Dass Charitable Society, Murthal on 22nd & 23rd Nov. 2018.  There were two rounds for selection.  Our students performed well and qualified both the rounds and were selected to participated at National Level.

  • 260 students from classes V to XII participated in National Science Olympiad organized by Science Olympiad Foundation was held on 15th Nov. 2018 and 28 students qualified for the next level.

  • On the eve of Children's Day, a special assembly was organized for classes VIII-X. The guest speaker was Prof. EV Geerish, a renowned corporate trainer and motivational speaker. He is also associated with Brhma Kumaris. The topic of his address was ″Discover the Hero Within″. He advised the students not to fall in the folly of getting impressed by others or try to impress others. Rather they should learn to accept and appreciate the self, the people and things as they are. Further, he gave the students tips to enhance their focus and concentration. The entire session was very interactive and was thoroughly enjoyed by all.

  • A special assembly on Vigilance awareness Week was organised in the school on 2nd November 2018. The students and the staff members took the pledge of Integrity. The theme of the assembly was to create awareness against corruption. In addition to this, the winners of Essay Writing Competition, Slogan writing Competition and Poster Making Competition were felicitated in association with Vigilance Department and Marketing Division of Panipat Refinery.

  • 04 students from U/14 category participated in the Inter DPS National Athletic Meet for girls  organized by the DPS Society at DPS Agra on 2nd & 3rd Nov. 2018.

  • 04 students from class IX (Open category) participated in zonal level karate competition held at Hisar on 2nd Nov. 2018.

  • A special assembly on National Unity Day was organised to celebrate Sardar Ballabh Bhai Patel's birthday on 1st November 2018. The students and the staff members took the Oath of Unity on the occasion.

  • A special assembly on Dussehra for classes  Nur to II was organized in the  month of  Oct with great zeal and enthusiasm.  Children of Nur presented a beautiful dance on dussehra.  Children of Prep performed lively dance sequence whereas students of class I showcased Durga Stuti and Garba Dandia dance.  Class II students performed Ramleela (Puppet Show) and Bengali Durga Puja Dance.  All the children enjoyed the programme a lot.

  • Two projects were presented by both senior and junior teams respectively at the District Level National Children Science  Congress held on 31st Oct. 2018 at Govt. Sr. Sec. School, Karnal.  The project of (Prakriti & Parna from class IX) senior team was selected for state level .

  • 01 student from U/14 category participated in the Haryana State  Karate Competition held at Gurugram from 29th to 31st Oct.2018.

  • 06 students from U/11 & 01 student from U/14 category participated in the State Level Yoga championship  held at Bhiwani from 29th to 31st Oct. 2018.

  • 16 students from class VIII to XII participated in the Inter DPS Football Tournament organized by the DPS Society at DPS Rohtak from 26th to 28th Oct. 2018.

  • 03 students from U/17 category participated in the chess championship held at Panipat from 17th to 19th Oct'2018.

  • Under the Junior Category, 02 students were (Vrinda Bhatia & Jatin Gupta from class VIII) bagged 1st position in Quiz competition ‐ Bharat Ko Jaano organized by Bharat Vikas Parishad at Arya P.G. College, Panipat on 14th Oct. 2018.

  • Our school bagged 1st prize in ″Judgement ‐ Launch your Dream Scheme″ and 3rd Prize in ″Commerce Quiz″ competition organized on the occasion of Inter DPS Commerce  Festival ‐ ″Vanijya‐2018″ at DPS Chandigarh by DPS Society on 13th Oct. 2018. 

  • An Inter House English Speech competition was held on 11th Oct. 2018 for classes VI to VIII. Aravali House bagged 1st position and Shivalik House bagged 1st runner-up position.

  • A career counseling seminar was held for classes XI and XII in the school on 10th October 2018. Ms. Vinu Arora, counselor from Noida, addressed the students. She talked to them about the importance of creativity, strategy, focus, self assessment, time management etc. as they determine success for an individual. She advised the students to know their personality, their strengths and weaknesses before choosing a career. She also told them to be an avid listener and listen to the advice and inputs of their parents, teachers and well wishers because good and wise inputs make decision making easy. She told them to be the FIRST and not the BEST. She advised them to crave for EXCELLENCE and not for IMPROVEMENT. At the end, she did a personality test of the students and told them about their personality traits based on the result of the test. The students enjoyed and learnt a lot from the whole session as it was very interactive and supplemented by lively activities.

  • 02 students from U/14 category participated in the State Level Skating championship held at Rohtak from 10th to 12th Oct'2018.

  • Bharat Vikas Parishad conducted a G.K. competition for the junior level (Classes VI to VIII) and for senior level (IX to XII) at school level on 4th Oct. 2018 in which 04 students (2 from Junior and 02 from senior) were selected for 2nd round.  Second round was held on 14th Oct. 2018 at Arya Girls College Auditorium.

  • A school level painting competition on energy conservation organized by Bureau of Energy Efficiency,  Ministry of Power, Govt. of India, was held at our school for the students of IV to IX on 4th Oct. 2018.  There were two categories one for class IV to VI and the other for class VII to IX.  Total 412 students participated in the competition.  The best 04 best entries were sent to the organizers.

  • 16 students from U/17 category participated in the cluster XV Basketball Tournament held at Gurugram from 29th Sep to 3rd Oct. 2018.

  • The Intra Section Techno Fest competition on Tux Paint for class III, MS paint for class IV & MS Power Point  for class V were held from 1st to 12th Oct. 2018.  The best three students  from each section were awarded certificates.

  • A Career Orientation Programme was organized for classes XI and XII in school on 28th September 2018. Mr. S.P.S. Oberoi (BE Mechanical, Marine Chief Engineer) from Anglo-Eastern Ship Management Ltd. interacted with the students and made them aware about the career in Merchant Navy.

  • Raghav & Vishvender Nandal of class IX and Divyansh Rastogi of class XI bagged Silver Medal and Aakanksha of class XI & arradhana of class VIII bagged Bronze Medal in North Zone ‐ II (Cluster XV) Badminton Tournament U/17 category held at Century School, Karnal from 27th Sep to 2nd Oct. 2018. Also, U/17 Boys team qualified for the CBSE National Badminton Tournament to be held at Vadodara (Gujarat) in November 2018.

  • 215 students from classes V to XII participated in International English Olympiad 2018 organised by Unified Council, held at our school on 4th Oct. 2018 and 13 students qualified for the next level.

  • 03 students from classes VII to IX participated in the State Level Table Tennis tournament  held at Sonepat from 20th to 22nd Sep. 2018.

  • The Inter House Quiz competition was held from 18th to 21st Sep. 2018 for classes III to V.  Aravalli House bagged 1st position followed by Nilgiri House.

  • 02 students from U/17 category participated in the State Level Taekwando Tournament held at Rewari from 17th to 19th Sep. 2018.

  • 02 students of Class X from U/17 category participated in State Level Football Tournament held at Karnal from 17th to 19th Sep. 2018.

  • 09 students from U/14, U/17 & U/19  categories participated in the cluster XV Table Tennis Tournament held at Sonepat from 14th to 16th Sep. 2018.

  • 01 student of class IX from U/17 category participated in State Level Karate Competition held at Kurukshetra from 7th to 9th Sep., 2018.

  • The Teachers' Day was celebrated by the students with full fervour and gaiety.  They organised a very beautiful and entertaining cultural programme on the occasion in the honour of their teachers. Earlier in the morning, Mr. V.K. Raizada, Executive Director (PR & PNC), Panipat Refinery, Mr. S.K. Gogoi, CGM(HR), Panipat Refinery and Ms. Mahua Basu, GM(HR), Panipat Refinery visited the school  to meet fall the teachers on the occasion. They gave their greetings and good wishes to everyone present in the meeting.

  • 02 student of class VII & VIII from U/14 category participated in Inter District Cricket competition organized by Haryana Cricket Association under BCCI at Kurukshetra & Panipat  from 12th Aug to 15th Sep. 2018.

  • Our school team in U/14 & U/17 categories bagged 2nd position in the District Level Table Tennis Tournament for girls held at Dyal Singh Public School, Panipat on 29th & 30th Aug'18.  01 student from U/14 category & 01 student from U/17 category were selected for State Level Tournament.

  • 03 students from U/11 & U/14 categories bagged 1st & 2nd positions in the District Level Skating Championship for Boys and Girls held at DPS Panipat City from 28th to 30th Aug'18.

  • 02 students from classes VI & VII got 1st position in 58 Kg. & 62 Kg.( U/17 category) in the District Level Tae-kwondo Championship held at MASD Public School, Panipat from 27th to 31st Aug' 18 and qualified for the State Level Tournament.

  • 02 students from classes VI & IX got 1st position in 25 Kg. & 52 Kg.(U/14 & U/17 categories) in the District Level Karate championship held at MASD Public School, Panipat from 27th to 31st Aug' 18 and qualified for the State Level Tournament.

  •  Boys & Girls teams (U/11, U/14 & U/19 categories) of our school participated in District Level Yoga Championship held at Arya Girls Public School, Panipat from 27th to 30th Aug'18.  06 students from U/11 category, 05 students from U/14 Category & 01 student from U/19 category got selected for the State Level Tournament.

  • Our school team in U/14 & U/17 categories bagged 2nd position in the District Level Table Tennis Tournament for Boys held at Dyal Singh Public School, Panipat from 27th to 30th Aug'18.  02 students from U/14 category & 02 students from U/17 category were selected for State Level Tournament.

  • 04 students from U/19 category bagged 1st position in the District Level Chess  Championship for boys & 03 students from U/14 category bagged 4th position held at Dyal Singh Public School, Panipat from 27th to 30th Aug'18. 03 students were selected for the State Tournament in U/19 category and 01 student was selected for the State Tournament in U/14 category.

  • Our school U/14, U/17 & U/19 cricket team participated in the District Level  Cricket tournament held at Circus Ground, Panipat from 27th to 30th Aug'18. 

  • The school organized Investiture Ceremony on 29th August 2018. The members of the Student Council and different houses were given oath of office and also decorated with sashes and badges. On the occasion, a very enthralling Inter House Hindi Street Play on the theme 'Discipline' was also organised.  Vindhyachal House bagged the first position followed by Shiwalik House. The occasion was also used to felicitate the achievers of various Olympiads and other competitions organised recently. Mr. V.K.Raizada, Executive Director (PR & PNC), Panipat Refinery was the chief guest on the occasion. He gave away the prizes and also motivated the children with his thought provoking speech.

  • The school celebrated Swacchata Fortnight in association with Panipat Refinery by organizing the Best out of Waste Competition for the classes VI to VIII.  A special assembly was held on 28th August 2018 to promote ″Swachh Bharat Campaign″ and felicitate the winners of the event. The assembly began with the oath taking ceremony in which the children, teachers and guests pledged towards cleanliness and hygiene. Mr. Jan Korera, GM (L&D), Panipat Refinery, Mr. Vinod Sharma, Principal and other guests were present in the assembly.

  • A special assembly on Janmashtami for classes  Nur ‐ II was organized in the month of August with great zeal and enthusiasm.  Children presented an excellent dance performance on the song.  All kids were prepared as Krishna & Radha.  The school premises was beautifully decorated with craft works by children on the theme of Janmashtami

  • Our school Football Team participated in U/14 & U/17 category in the District Level Football Tournament held at Siwah, Panipat from 27th to 29th Aug'18.  In this tournament, 03 students from U/14 & 03 students from U/17 category qualified for State Level Tournament.

  • 01 girl student from U/14 shotput category participated in the District Level Athletic Meet Tournament held at Shivaji Stadium, Panipat from 27th to 29th Aug'18.

  • Our Boys' Badminton Team (Categories U/14, U/17 & U/19) won in all categories of Panipat District Level Badminton tournament held at Rotary Club, Panipat on 27th & 28th Aug'18.  All 03 categories got selected for State Level Tournament.

  • 04 students of class XI & XII participated in the Inter School Quiz ‐ 2018 organised by The Hindu at Army Public School, New Delhi on 27th Aug'18.  The quiz was conducted on various current affairs and general knowledge.

  • 08 students from classes IX & XI participated in the Inter DPS Information Technology Festival ‐ 2018 organised by the DPS Society at DPS Noida on 25th Aug'18.

  • The Girls' Badminton Team of our school participated in U/14, U/17 & U/19 categories of the School Games Federation of India held at Rotary Club, Panipat from 21st to 23rd Aug'18.  U/14 & U/19 categories won the Block Level Championship and qualified for District Level.

  • 12 girl students from U/17 & U/19 Categories participated in the Block Level Basketball Tournament for girls held at Panipat stadium on 21st Aug'18.

  • Our school Basketball Team participated in the School Games Federation of India held at Shivaji Stadium, Panipat from 18th to 20th Aug'18. 

  • U/14, U/17 & U/19 Badminton Teams of our school participated in the Block level tournament (for boys) held at Rotary Club, Panipat from 18th to 20th Aug'18.

  • Our school Badminton Team participated in the 18th District Badminton Championship (Open) organized by District Badminton Association at Panipat Club, Panipat from 15th to 18th Aug'18. The participants achieved laurels in different age categories at different levels. 

  • The Inter House Hindi Poem Recitation competition was held on 17th Aug'18 for classes VI to VIII.  Nilgiri House bagged 1st position followed by Shivalik House. 

  • Ms. Bhavya Paruthi & Ms. Siya Chugh from class X got 1st prize in an Intach India Heritage Quiz ‐ 2018 organised by an NGO at MASD Public School, Panipat on 10th Aug'18.

  • The school got 3rd position in two different off-site competitions in ″Postcards from Paris 2018″ of the Inter School French Language Festival ‐ 2018 organised by the DPS Society at DPS R.K. Puram on 4th  Aug'18.

  • 03 students from class VIII to X participated in the Inter DPS National Table  Tennis Tournament Boys (Open) 2018 organised by the DPS Society at DPS Bulandshahr on 30th & 31st July, 2018.

  • The Inter House Quiz competition was held on 27th July 2018 for classes XI & XII.  Aravalli House bagged 1st position and the 2nd position was jointly bagged by Shiwalik and Vindhyachal House.

  • A special assembly for classes Nur to II was organized in the month of July.  The theme for the special assembly was ″Monsoon Party″.  Class Nur students came up dressed in different monsoon characters like caterpillar, frog, lady bug, peacock etc.  They gave a mesmerizing performance on the song ″Rainy Day″.  A Spectacular dance performance was given by the students of classes Prep to II. Students gave the message of ″Water Conservation″.  

  • 03 students of class IX participated in the Inter DPS National Table  Tennis Tournament Girls (Open) 2018 organised by the DPS Society at DPS Mathura Road on 21st  & 22nd July, 2018.

  • 08 students from classes VIII to XII participated in the Inter DPS Hindustani Vocal Music Festival ‐ 2018 organised by the DPS Society at DPS Dwarka on 21st July, 2018.

  • The Inter House Badminton tournament for Boys was held on 20th July, 2018 for classes IV & V.  The best 03 positions from class IV & V  were awarded certificates.           

  • The Inter House Badminton Tournament for Girls was held on 19th July, 2018 for classes IV & V.  Nilgiri House bagged 1st position followed by Aravali, Shivalik & Vindhyachal House.

  • The school participated in the Inter school English Debate competition held on the topic ″Peace and Non ‐ Violence are outdated concepts″ at the Millenium School, Panipat on 18th July, 2018 and bagged 2nd and 3rd position in the Best Speaker category and consolation prize in the Best Interjector category.

  • 03 students from classes VI to VIII were awarded certificates of merit in 8th Painting competition on the theme 'Water Conservation‐2017-18' at school level organized by the Central Ground Water Board, Ministry of Water Resources, Government of India. The event was held at our school for the students of classes VI to VIII on 1st Dec'17.  Total 96 students participated in the competition. 

  • The school in association with Panipat Refinery celebrated Swachch Bharat Fortnight on its campus on 4th July 2018. The occasion was graced by Mr. Jan Corera, GM(HR), Panipat Refinery, Mr. Vinod Sharma, Principal and other dignitaries from Panipat Refinery and the school. The programme began with oath taking ceremony followed by speeches and plantation of saplings. All the students from classes VI to VIII took part in each activity enthusiastically. Earlier on 3rd July, programmes related to Swachch Bharat was organized for Junior School also.

  • The Inter House Football Tournament for Boys was held on 22nd May, 2018 for classes VI to X.  Vindhyachal House bagged 1st position followed by Shivalik House.

  • Six students of our school bagged top three positions in 10th Haryana Cup Boys and Girls Taekwando Championship organized at Mahavir Stadium, Hissar from 11th May to 13th May, 2018.

  • The Intra Section English Calligraphy Competition was held for classes III to V on 11th May 2018.  The best three students from each section were awarded certificates

  • The Inter House Badminton Tournament for Boys was held on 10th May, 2018 for classes VI to X.  Vindhyachal House bagged 1st position followed by Shivalik House

  • The Inter House Badminton Tournament for Girls was held on 7th May, 2018 for classes VI to X.  Vindhyachal House bagged 1st position followed by Nilgiri House.

  • The Inter House Table Tennis Tournament for boys was held on 4th May, 2018 for classes VI to X.  Aravalli  House bagged 1st position followed by Nilgiri House.

  • The Intra Section Hindi Extempore Competition was held for classes V on 4th May 2018.  The best three students from each section were awarded certificates.

  • The Intra Section Hindi Story Telling Competition was held for classes IV on 4th May 2018.  The best three students from each section were awarded certificates.

  • The Intra Section Hindi Poem Recitation Competition was held for classes III on 4th May 2018.  The best three students from each section were awarded certificates.

  • The Inter House Table Tennis Tournament for Girls was held on 3rd May, 2018 for classes VI to X.  Aravalli  House bagged 1st position followed by Nilgiri House.

  • Our school cricket team participated in U/16 Youth Premier League in the District Level Cricket Tournament held at Rajeev Gandhi Stadium, Panipat from 2nd May to 12th May, 2018.  In this tournament 08 teams participated, our team reached till semi finals.

  • Master Deven Sharma, class VI got 2nd position in U/11 yrs. Category & Master Keshav Malik, class IX got 3rd position in U/15 & U/17 yrs. Category in District Chess tournament held at LCRT Public School, Panipat on 29th 30th April 2018.

  • The school participated in the Inter DPS Language Literary Festival ‐ 2018 organised by the DPS Society on 28th April, 2018 at DPS Bulandshahr.  The event was held in 02 categories (01 Online activity & 02 Onsite activity) and our school participated in both the categories.

  • A Vaccination Programme  to provide protection against diseases like Measels and Rubella was organised for the students of classes Nursery to X in the school premises on 26th April, 2019 in association with Panipat Refinery Hospital, organised by Health & Family Welfare Ministry.

  • The Inter House Basketball Tournament for Boys was held on 20th April, 2018 for classes VI to X.  Shivalik House bagged 1st position followed by Aravalli House.

  • The Inter House Basketball Tournament for Girls was held on 19th April, 2018 for classes VI to X.  Nilgiri House bagged 1st   position followed by Shivalik House.

  • 03 students were selected for stage II examination held at NIT Kurukshetra on 14th April, 2018 after clearing stage I (online Examination of VVM ‐ School Level) examination.  The details are given below.

  • A special assembly on Safety was held on 2nd April 2018 for class VIII-X in association with Panipat Refinery & Petrochemicals. The official from Fire and Safety Department, Panipat Refinery initiated the programme by giving  Safety and Swachchata Pledge to the students and thereafter, he gave them safety tips to be observed in day to day life. Further, on 5th April 2018 a live demonstration of fire equipments was given to the students from class III-X by the Fire & Safety Deptt.

Session: 2017-18

  • A Farewell Party was organized for the students of Class XII in the school premises on 10th February 2018. It was an occasion for the outgoing students to look back at the time  they spent in the school. The party was celebrated with lots of enthusiasm and joy.

  • A quiz on Swachh Bharat was held in the school for classes VI to VIII in association with Panipat Refinery, Marketing Division on 22nd December 2017.

  • The Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony was organized by the school on 30th November 2017 to honour and felicitate the students for their academic excellence and achievements in various Inter School Competitions.  Mr. V.K. Raizada, Executive Director (I/C), IOC Panipat Refinery was the chief guest on the occasion. He presented Gold Medals, Scholar Gowns, Scholar Badges and other prizes to the students. Mr. S.K. Gogoi, G.M. ((I/C) HR), Mr. J.A.N. Corera G.M.(HR), Mr. A.P. Sharma, D.G.M.(Finance), other senior officials from Panipat Refinery and a large number of parents were also present on the occasion.

  • A career counselling seminar was organised by DPS Panipat Refinery on 28th November 2017 for the students of classes XI and XII. Ms. Supriya Srivastava, a career counsellor from Delhi held the sessions for the students. She spoke in detail about

                  Analyzing the self to know personal strengths and weaknesses.

                  Right way of planning career.

                  Need of personality development for a successful career.

                  Various career options after class XII.

         At the end, she conducted a small test to help the students  know about their preferred career according to their personality strengths. During the open house, the students asked their queries and Ms. Supriya answered each query of the students to their satisfaction.

  • Our school got consolation prize in the category ″Green Entrepreneur″ held as a part of the celebration of the Annual Inter DPS Environmental Festival‐2017.  The event was organized under the auspices of the DPS Society on 18th Nov. 2017.  10 students from our school participated in different categories.

  • A seminar on safety was conducted by the school on 18th November 2017 for all the teachers. It was held in association with the Fire & Safety Deptt., Panipat Refinery. Mr. Vikas Bhandari, Sr. Manager gave a detailed demonstration on different accidents which could occur in a school and the immediate measures to be taken by the staff members to protect the students and themselves. His major focus was on fire accident  and earthquake. He also took all the queries of the teachers and answered them to their satisfaction. After his lecture he demonstrated the use of fire extinguishers. He made some of the teachers  use the extinguishers to understand their operational part.

  • 06 students of class IX qualified the second level of SMTE (Science & Maths Talent Examination) organized by DPS Society in collaboration with SOF (Science Olympiad Foundation).  The second level exam was conducted at DPS R.K. Puram on 17th Dec. 2017.

  • The senior team got gold medals and certificates in the State Level Children Science Congress organised by Haryana Vigyan Manch supported by NCSTC, Department of Science & Technology, Government of India and Haryana State Council.  The event was organized at D.H. Lawrence Sr. Sec. School, Jhajjar on 11th & 12th Nov. 2017.  16 teams out of 100 participated in this competition from different schools.  Our school team has qualified for the National Level Children Science Congress which will be held at Ahmedabad (Gujarat) from 27th ‐ 31st Dec. 2017.

  • 03 students got consolation prizes from classes V to IX in Inter School on the spot Painting Competition organized by MASD School, Panipat on 14th Nov. 2017. 13 students from our school participated in this competition.

  • Ms. Parna Bhattacharya of class VIII & Ms. Somyata of class IX won cash prizes, LED Lights, Colours & School Bag in the State Level Painting competition on Energy Conservation organized by Ministry of Power, Govt. of India in association with Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) Chandigarh held at Panchkula on 14th Nov. 2017.

  • Our school U/17 (Boys & Girls) badminton teams participated in the State Level Badminton Tournament held at Little Angel School, Sonepat on 9th & 10th Nov. 2017.  Total 28 teams from different schools participated in this tournament. 

  • An Inter House English Skit competition was held on 10th Nov. 2017 for classes IX ‐ X on the topic ″Gender Equality″.  Shivalik House bagged 1st position and Vindhyachal House bagged 1st runner-up position.

  • 03 students from class VIII bagged 2nd position in the category ″Newspaper Designing″ in Inter School French Language Festival organized by DPS Society at DPS Rohini on 3rd Nov. 2017.

  • A school level painting competition on energy conservation organized by Bureau of Energy Efficiency, Ministry of Power, Govt. of India, was held in the school premises for the students of classes IV to IX on 3rd Nov. 2017.  There were two categories one for class IV to VI and the other for Class VII to IX.  Total 512 students participated in the competition.

  • Two projects presented by both senior and junior teams respectively at the District Level National Children Science Congress held on 2nd Nov. 2017 at Govt. Sr. Sec. School, Karnal, qualified for State Level Children Science congress‐2017.  16 teams of different school were evaluated by scientists of CSSRI and NDRI, Karnal.  Total 06 teams were selected for state level.

  • Arradhna Sharma, class VII participated at state level badminton championship held at Gurugram from 30th Oct to 1st Nov. 2017. 

  • 03 students from U/14 category of classes VII & VIII bagged 1st position at the State Level Badminton Tournament held at Gurugram from 30th Oct to 1st Nov. 2017. 

  • 16 students from classes IX to XI participated in the Inter DPS Football Tournament for Boys Open ‐ 2017 organised by the DPS Society at DPS Faridabad from 31st Oct to 3rd Nov. 2017.

  • The school celebrated ″Rashtriya Ekta Diwas″ on the campus on 31st October to commemorate the birthday of Sardar Ballabh Bhai Patel ‐ the first Deputy Prime Minister of India. The occasion was marked by organising a special assembly in which the students from class III to class XII took part with full fervour and zest. The assembly began with a prayer  song followed by reading out a thought for the day, delivery of a speech and a Rashtriya Ekta Diwas pledge taking ceremony.  After the assembly, a ″Run for Unity″ was organised for the students. The students marched in a group holding banners which displayed the messages of unity.

  • A special assembly on Haryana Day was organised in the school on 30th October 2017. The students presented thought of the day, prayer song, poem recitation highlighting the prosperity of Haryana and speech describing the facts about Haryana.

  • 02 students (Divyansh Rastogi & Anupam Sachhan  of classes X) participated  in the Quiz competition organized by District Education Office, Panipat at Arya Sr. Sec. School, Panipat on 28th Oct. 2017.

  • 02 students from classes X & XII participated in the Inter DPS Badminton Tournament for Girls Open ‐2017 organised by the DPS Society at DPS Jaipur from 27th to 29th Oct. 2017.

  • The Inter House Declamation competition was held on 27th Oct. 2017 for classes VI to VIII.  Aravalli House bagged 1st position and Shivalik House bagged 1st runner-up position.

  • A Career Orientation Programme was organized for classes XI and XII in school on 27th October 2017. Mr. S.P.S. Oberoi (BE Mechanical, Marine Chief Engineer) from Anglo-Eastern Ship Management Ltd. interacted with the students and made them aware about the career in Merchant Navy.

  • In the various competitions organised by the District Education Office on 24th October 2017 at Panipat, Harshit Arora of class X bagged 1st position in the Inter School  English Declamation Competition, Vasundhara  of class X bagged 3rd position in the Inter School  Hindi Declamation Competition and Shejal Gupta of class X bagged 3rd  position in the Inter School  Hindi Essay Writing Competition.

  • Divyansh Sharma, class VII participated in the School Games Federation of India in the state level cricket tournament held at Mahendergarh from 23rd to 25th Oct. 2017. 

  • 06 students participated for 2nd level of Regional Mathematics Olympiad ‐ 2017.  The Olympiad was held at Punjab University, Chandigarh on 8th Oct. 2017.

  • 12 students from classes VII to X participated in the Inter DPS Basketball Tournament for Girls Open ‐ 2017 organised by the DPS Society at DPS International Saket, New Delhi from 6th to 8th Oct. 2017.

  • A Festival Bash was organised by the students of classes III to V on PTM during which the students studied about the festivals of different countries like Taiwan, Peru, USA, Palestine, Italy  and India. The students decorated their classrooms describing each facet of the festival. Dressed up in the costumes of that specific country, the students of class V presented skits describing the manner in which these festivals are celebrated.

  • The Inter House Rangoli competition was held on 6th Oct. 2017 for classes VI to VIII.   Shivalik House bagged 1st position and Nilgiri House bagged 1st runner-up position.

  • 02 teachers & 02 students participated in an interactive session with scientists of CSSRI, Karnal on 28th Sep. 2017.  The event was organised by Haryana Vigyan Manch and Deptt. Of Science & Technology.  Students got knowledge about drip irrigation and other scientific approaches.

  • 02 girls students participated in the State Level Table Tennis tournament for girls held at Micron Table Tennis Academy, Rohtak from 18th ‐ 20th Sep. 2017.  The performance of the students was appreciable.

  • 02 students from IX class participated in the State Level Cricket Tournament held at Sehwag International School, Jhajjar on 18th Sep. 2017.  The performance of the students was appreciable.

  • Our school team participated in the State Level Table Tennis Tournament for Boys held at Yamunanagar from 14th to 16th Sep. 2017.  The performance of the students was appreciable.

  • Our school U/11 chess team participated in the State Level Chess Championship held at Yamunanagar from 14th to 16th Sep. 2017.  The performance of the students was appreciable.

  • A special assembly was organised under 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan Week' by the students of classes Prep - II on 15th September 2017. The students highlighted the importance of cleanliness in our day to day lives by giving dance performances and a skit. The students also took pledge to keep their surroundings clean.

  • Our school U/17 Yoga team participated in the State Level Yoga Championship held at Yadhuvanshi School, Mahendergarh from 11th to 13th Sep. 2017  The performance of the students was appreciable.

  • The students of class IX organised a Mock Parliament session in MUN (Model United Nation) format during which they addressed the global issue of environment.

  • A painting competition was organized by our school for the students of VI to XI in association with Panipat Refinery on 7th Sep. 2017.  The event was organized as a part of the celebration of Clean India.  The theme of the competition was ″Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas″.  Total 272 students took part in this competition.

  • The students celebrated Teacher's Day with gaiety and fervour. They presented an enthralling Cultural Programme on the occasion. The celebration was coordinated by the Student Council.

  • An essay writing competition was organized by for the students of classes VI to XI in association with Distt. Education Officer on 5th Sep. 2017.  The event was organized as a part of the celebration of Swachhta Pakhwara‐2017.  The theme of the competition was ″What can I do for clean India″.  The best 03 entries were sent to the organizers.

  • The students of class VII organised a Wonder Fest describing each and every aspect of seven wonders of the world during PTM. The students had worked for the British Council's ISA project.

  • On the occasion of Clean India celebration , a painting competition was organized by the Ministry of Human Resources & Development (Govt. of India) on 4th Sep. 2017.  Total 465 students took part in this competition for classes III to V.  The best three entries were sent to the organizers.

  • The school organized the Investitute Ceremony on 4th Sep. 2017.  The Newly appointed official of      the student council and house bodies for the session 2017-18 were decorated on the occasion.  Mr. Harjinder Singh Uppal, Commandant, CISF Unit IOCL Panipat Refinery was the special guest of the function.  He presented sashes and badges to the members of the student council and the house bodies.

  • Our school got 1st and 2nd positions in different categories of the Inter School competitions ″Drishyam″ organized by GDR Gurukul, Panipat on 1st Sep. 2017. The school bagged first position in Quiz and Dramatics and second position in Fusion Dance.

  • The Inter House Hindi Poem Recitation competition was held on 31st Aug'17 for classes VI to VIII.  Nilgiri House bagged 1st position followed by Aravalli House.  The topic for class VI was ″Prakriti″, class VII was ″Desh Bhakti″  & class VIII was ″Samajik Samasya″. 

  • 01 student from U/14 category participated in the District Level Karate Tournament for boys held at MASD Public School, Panipat on 24th Aug'17.

  • The Inter House Street Play competition was held on 22nd Aug'17 for classes IX & X.  Nilgiri House bagged 1st position followed by Shivalik House.

  • Our school U/14 cricket team participated in the district Level Cricket Tournament (School Games Federation of India) held at Circous Ground,  Panipat on 22nd  Aug'17.  The performance of all the students was appreciable.

  • 03 Boy students from U/14 cateogry bagged 1st position in the District Level Table Tennis tournament for boys held at Dyal Singh Public School, Panipat on 24th Aug'17 and qualified for the State Level Table Tennis tournament.

  • 04 student of our school Skating team participated in the District Level Skating Tournament (School Games Federation of India) held at DPS Panipat City,  Panipat on 23rd & 24th  Aug'17.  02 students got selected at the State Level.

  • 59 students from classes VIII to XI participated in Pre-RMO‐2017 which was held at Jawahar Navodaya Vidhyalaya, Karnal on 20th Aug'17.

  • Our school Cricket team participated in the Block Level Cricket Tournament held at Circus Ground,  Panipat on 19th Aug'17.  03 students got selected at the District Level.

  • 02 girls students (Aastha Arya & Anushree, class VIII) bagged 1st position in the District Level Table Tennis tournament held at Dyal Singh Public School, Panipat on 17th & 18th Aug'17 and qualified for the State Level Table Tennis tournament.

  • The school jointly with Panipat Refinery celebrated the Independence Day with great fan fare in the Refinery  Township stadium.  The students from various classes took part in the march past and colourful cultural programmes organized on the occasion.

  • The school team comprising of 04 students (from class VII to X) bagged 2nd position in the Inter School Heritage Quiz competition held on 11th Aug'17 at Dyal Singh Public School, Panipat.

  • 07 students from our school participated in PAX MUN Conference organised by DPS Greater Noida on 10th and 11th August 2017. The students received Best Delegate Award, High Commendation Award and Special Mention Award.

  • A pledge ceremony was organised in the school as a part of the celebration of the 70th anniversary of Independence Day and 75th Anniversary of Quit India Movement. Students took pledge in Hindi as well as in English during the school assembly to make India clean, and rid the country from the problem of poverty, corruption, communalism and casteism in the next five years.

  • Our school team bagged 1st position from U/17 category and 2nd position from U/14 category in the Panipat Block Level Badminton  tournament for Girls held at Rotary club, Panipat on 8th & 9th Aug'17 & 03 girls got selected at District Level tournament.

  • Our Boys Badminton Team (Categories U/14 & U/17) bagged 1st position in the Panipat Block Level Badminton Tournament held at Rotary Club, Panipat on 4th & 5th Aug'17 and qualified for the District Level Tournament.

  • 09 students from classes VI to X participated in the Inter DPS Dance Festival ‐2017 organised by the DPS Society at DPS Fardibad on 5th Aug'17.

  • 532 students from classes IX to XII participated in 3rd International Equanimity Olympiad 2017 organised by Satyug Darshan Trust, Faridabad held at our school on 1st Aug'17.  This exam was based on excellence in Humanity, Morality & Ethics.

  • 07 students from classes IX to XI participated in the Inter DPS Information Technology Festival ‐2017 organised by the DPS Society at DPS R.K. Puram on 29th July 17.

  • 07 students from classes III to XII participated in the Inter School Art Whiz competition organized by G.D. Goenka Public School, Panipat on 28th July 2017.

  • Miss Sreejita Dhar from class IX won 1st Prize at Regional level in an All India Painting Competition on the topic ″My CITY MY HERITAGE″.  The competition was organized by INTACH, an NGO, at Arya Girls Public School, Panipat on 9th February 2017.

  •  An essay writing competition was organized by the school for the students of classes IX & X in association with Panipat Refinery on 24th July 2017.  The events were organized as a part of the celebration of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan‐2017.  The theme of the competition was ″Cleanliness ‐ A Collective Responsibility″. 

  • The Inter House Quiz competition was held on 27thJuly 2017 for classes XI & XII.  Vindhyachal House bagged 1st position followed by Shiwalik House.

  • A special activity for class Nursery was organized in the school during which  children made beautiful rainy season craft with the help of their teachers on 27th July 2017.  Children made frogs, caterpillars, peacocks and lady bugs with paper cutouts, ice-cream sticks, feathers, bindis etc.  This activity was fun filled and children enjoyed a lot.

  •  Harshit Arora, a student of class X bagged 2nd position for  Interjection in the Inter School English Debate Competition held on the topic ″Security Cameras are an invasion on our privacy″ at the Millenium School, Panipat on 18th July 2017.

  • On the occasion of Income Tax Day Celebration, a painting competition was organized by Income Tax Deptt., Ministry of Finance, Govt. of India on 24th July 2017.  62 students took part in this competition from classes VIII to XIII. 

  • 07 students from classes VII to IX participated in the Inter DPS Hindustani Vocal Music Festival‐2017 organised by the DPS Society at DPS Dwarka on 15th July 2017.

  • Sunit Gautam (Science Stream), from our school topped district with 97.4% marks in class XII CBSE Board Examination.

  • The school cricket team bagged 1st position in the Inter School Cricket Tournament for boys held in Rising Sun Public School, Karnal from 18th to 26th May, 2017. 

  • A Summer Party was organized on 19th May 2017 for classes Nursery to II.  Children  came in colourful dresses and brought  their caps and goggles to beat the heat. They  enjoyed the party a lot.

  • The Inter House Badminton tournament for Boys was held on 12th May 2017 for classes VI to X.  Nilgiri & Vindhyachal House jointly bagged 1st position followed by Shivalik House.

  • The Inter House Badminton Tournament for Girls was held on 11th May 2017 for classes VI to X.  Shivalik House bagged 1st position followed by Vindhyachal House.

  • The Inter House Football Tournament for Boys was held on 9th May 2017 for classes IV & V.  Vindhyachal House bagged 1st position followed by Nilgiri House.

  • A special assembly, on the occasion of Buddh Purnima, also known as Vesak, was organised in the school premises on 8th May 2017. The students shared their views about the life and the philosophy of Lord Buddha. On the occasion, the winners of "Triveni Bhasha Utsav ‐ 2017" (Inter DPS Hindi, Sanskrit and Urdu festival) held at DPS Bulandshehar on 29th April 2017, were also felicitated.

  • A special assembly, on the occasion of birth anniversary of Guru Rabindranath Tagore  was organised in the school premises on 5th May 2017. The students presented thought of the day, Bengali patriotic Song "Ekla Chalo Re", written by Rabindranath Tagore, inspiring everyone to continue his / her journey despite lack of support from others.

  • The school got 1st position in the category ″Unvaas″ & 2nd position in ″Muhavaron ka Chitrankan″ held as a part of the celebration of an Annual Inter DPS Language & Literature Festival ‐ 2017.  The event was organized under the auspices of the DPS Society on 29th April 2017 at DPS Bulandshahr.  The festival was celebrated in seven categories and 19 students from our school participated in different categories.

  • The school got 1st, 2nd & 3rd positions respectively in the Inter school Painting competition on Earth Day organized by Dyal Singh Public School, Panipat on 21st April 2017. 

  • Master Raghav of class X got 2nd position in Panipat Chess Tournament held at PIET Sanskriti School, Panipat on 15th & 16th April 2017. He was awarded a trophy and a chess set.

  • The school in association with IOC, Panipat Refinery organised a Painting Competition for classes VII, VIII and IX on the occasion of "Observance of Fire Services Week".

  • A special assembly, on the occasion of birth anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, was organised in the school premises on 17th April 2017. The students presented thought of the day, prayer song and speech describing the inspirational life of Dr. Ambedkar.

  • 07 students of our school attended a State Level camp organized by Vidhyarthi Vigyan Manthan after having topped two exams at district level. The program was divided into 4 sections to test students' aptitude and attitude towards science.  This program was held at NIT, Kurukshetra on 14th April 2017.

Session: 2016-17

  • A fun filled trip to Adventure Island, Rohini was organized for the students of class XII on 11th March 2017.

  • A Farewell Party was organized for the students of Class XII in the school premises on 11th February 2017. It was an occasion for the outgoing students to look back at the time  they spent in the school. The party was celebrated with lots of enthusiasm and joy.

  • The school bagged Silver medal and Bronze Medal in boys' and girls' category respectively in Inter School Yoga Championship (Under 14) organized at Bal Vikas, Panipat on 29th December 2016.

  • The school bagged third position in Inter School Poem Personification Competition (III - V) held at SDVM Panipat, Junior Wing on 24th December 2016. The team comprised of 12 participants performing on the theme 'My Family ,My Strength'.

  • A special assembly on Christmas was organized by the students of classes III to V on 22nd December 2016. The students emphasized on the importance of Christmas. The students gave colourful dance performances along with poem recitation, thought of the day, speech and prayer.

  • The students from class VIII to X participated in The Road Safety Programme organized by Panipat Refinery on 15th December 2016 at Community Centre, Refinery Township. They watched a very lively Nukkad Natak presented by the artistes of Shuruaat Samiti, Panipat. The play gave a deep message with respect to the importance of observing rules and regulations for the safety of life while driving two/four wheelers.

  • The Proficiency Award Ceremony was organized in the school on 14th and 15th December 2016 to honour the students for their academic excellence. On the occasion Mr. Vinod Sharma, Principal presented Gold Medals, Scholar Gowns and Scholar Badges to the students.

  • Students from our school participated in ″Geeta Jayanti Samaroh″ on 9th December 2016 at Panipat. The event was organized by the Government of Haryana from 8th December 2016 to 10th December 2016. One student from class VII recited shlokas from Holy Geeta and a group of students from classes IX and X performed a Nukkad Natak based on the theme: ″Corruption. ″

  • An Inter House Speech Competition for classes VI to VIII was organized in the school premises on 8th December 2016. Shiwalik House bagged the first position followed by Aravalli House and Nilgiri House at second and third positions respectively.

  • A trip to Pratap Garh Farm was organized for the students of class X on 3rd December 2016.

  • The students of class VIII and IX  visited National Science Center, New Delhi on 3rd December 2016.

  • The students of class VII visited National Science Center, New Delhi on 26th November 2016.

  • A trip to Kurukshetra was organized for the students of class VI on 26th November 2016. The students visited Shri Krishna Museum, Science Panorama and Kalpana Chawla Planetarium.

  • 08 students from VI to XI participated in the Annual Inter DPS English Language Festival‐2016 organised by the DPS Society at DPS International Saket, New Delhi on 19th Nov,16.

  • Two Science projects ‐ ″Room Cooling with Low Cost Green Technology″ and ″Growing Vegetables in Waste″,  out of 116 participating teams at District Level, were selected to participate at the State Level Science Exhibition held at Maharishi Markandeshwar University, Mulana (Haryana) on 14th & 15th Nov'16.   

  • Subhrojit Sarkar, a student of class VIII bagged 3rd position in ″Activity-Spell Bee″  in Inter school French Language Festival organized by DPS Society at DPS Mathura Road on 12th Nov'16.

  • A career counseling seminar was organised by the school for the students of class X to XII on 9th November 2016. The career counselor, Mrs. Supriya, from Delhi was invited to address the students. She spoke at length about the meaning of career, right way of planning a career, important skills needed for a successful career and various  other career options  She also talked about the career options available after graduation. She advised the students about the method of preparing for the chosen career. She shared with them the important institutions providing various professional courses in the country. At the end the students asked their queries, which the counselor answered to their satisfaction.

  • DPS Panipat Refinery organized the National Inter DPS Badminton tournament ‐ Girls (Open) 2016 under the auspices of the DPS Society from 5th to 7th Nov 16.  It was indeed a matter of pride and privilege for the school to host this mega national event for the second time.  The tournament was inaugurated by Mr. B.V. Rama Gopal, Executive Director, IOCL Panipat Refinery, Dr. D.R. Saini, Director, DPS Society, Mrs. Manjusha Kanwar, National Badminton Champion & Common Wealth Games Bronze Medalist. Other Sr. Officials of Panipat Refinery were also present on the occasion.  Mr. Vinod Sharma, Principal of the host school welcomed the guests and the participating schools.  His address was followed by a sparkling cultural programme presented by the students of the school.  The tournament was played on knockout basis and all the matches were officiated by the qualified referees.  The coveted championship trophies in the singles was lifted by the DPS Chandigarh and the doubles was lifted by the DPS Indirapuram.  The first runners up trophy for the singles category went to DPS Vasant Kunj and that of doubles category was bagged by DPS R.K. Puram.  Ishita from DPS Chandigarh was declared the best player of the tournament for her scintillating performance in both the singles and the doubles categories.  The winners and the participating schools were presented trophies and certificates at the closing ceremony.

  • 02 students from our school participated at the CBSE Skating completion (Zone III)  held at BDS Sr. Sec. School, Ajnala, Distt. Amritsar from 3rd to 6th Nov, 2016.

  • Pranati Yadav, a student of class VIII qualified for the National Level Painting Competition by achieveing Second position in the State Level painting competition (Category B class VII to IX) organized by the Ministry of Power, Govt. of India in association with Bhakra Beas Management Board (BBMB) , Chandigarh on 9th Nov'16 on the topic of ″Energy Conservation″.  She was also awarded a cash prize of Rs. 15000/- (Rupees Fifteen Thousand only) for her achievement.

  • As a part of Vigilance Awareness Week Celebration, a special assembly was organized for the students of classes IX - XII. Mr. S. K. Bose, GM (HR), Panipat Refinery, Mr. D. S. Sehgal, DGM (Vigilance), Panipat Refinery and other officials from Panipat Refinery graced the assembly with their presence. The students expressed their opinion on the issue of corruption by means of thought, speeches and a Nukkad Natak. They also read out the messages of the Hon'ble President of India and the Hon'ble Prime Minister of India. The Principal, Mr. Vinod Sharma administered the Citizen's Pledge to all present on the occasion.

  • As a part of Vigilance Awareness Week, an elocution competition was organised for the students of classes XI and XII on 27th October 2016. The topic of the competition was "Means of Corruption and its Eradication".

  • The school badminton teams participated at the State School Football tournament for boys (Category U-17) held at Kurukshetra from 24th to 27th Oct, 2016.

  • 5 students from classes IV to VIII performed well in the Sahodaya Inter School District Taekwondo Championship (U/14) held on 25th Oct'16 at Panipat. The student of class IV bagged second position and students of classes VI to VIII bagged third position each.

  • On the eve of Diwali, the students of classes III to V organised a colourful assembly. The students presented different cultural programmes to emphasize on the importance of Diwali.

  • A Science Exhibition was organized by the students of classes VI to VIII during PTM on 15th October 2016. They also presented a skit based on the theme "Science and Superstition".

  • A special assembly on Dussehara was organised in the school. The students of class IV B presented a wonderful skit based on the epic "Ramayana" alongwith thought of the day, prayer and news.

  • 15 students from classes VIII to XI participated in the Inter DPS Football Tournament Boys (Open)‐2016 organised by the DPS Society at DPS Greater Faridabad from 15th to 18th Oct'16.

  • The school bagged 1st prize in ″Expressions-Street Play″ and 2nd prize in ″Product Fair″ competition  held on the occasion of Inter DPS Commerce Festival-″Vanijya‐2016″ at DPS Chandigarh organized by DPS Society on 15th Oct'16. 

  • 03 students participated for 2nd level in Regional Mathematics Olympiad ‐2016 held at DPS Faridabad on 9th Oct'16.

  • The school badminton teams participated at the State School Badminton tournament for both boys and girls (Category U-17) held at Sonepat from 8th to 10th Oct, 2016.

  • A Special assembly for class II was organized in the month of October.  The theme was inspired by a drop ‐ how a drop can make a difference.  A drop of hope, a drop of love, a drop of humanity, a drop of courage, a drop of harmony and a drop of faith and belief.  All these different aspects of human personality were depicted.  The whole idea was to instill in the tiny tots the value of hope, compassion and harmony.

  • 36 out of 95 students qualified for the National Level in  International French Olympiad organized by Pratyatna Educational Society, New Delhi .  The school level competition was held at our school on 6th Oct'16.

  • A career counseling seminar was organised by the school for the students of class X to XII on 3rd October 2016. The career counselor, Mr. Kumar Pranay, from Delhi was invited to address the students. He spoke at length about the meaning of career, right way of planning a career, important skills needed for a successful career and various  career options like Bachelor of Fashion Technology, Hotel Management, Integrated Management Programme, CLAT, Bachelor of Management Studies, Bachelor of Busines Administration, Bachelor of Finance and Investment Analysis, Bio Technology, Bio Chemistry, Bachelor of Nursing, Journalism & Mass Communication, NDA etc. He also talked about the career options available after graduation. He advised the students about the method of preparing for the chosen career. He shared with them the important institutions providing various professional courses in the country. At the end the students asked their queries, which the counselor answered to their satisfaction.

  • 08 students got selected for Delhi L'll Cricket League.  The selection was  held at Lal Bahadur Shastri Cricket Stadium, Delhi on 25th Sep'16.

  • An Inter Section Badminton tournament (Girls) was held for classes III to V on 23rd Sep'16.  The best three students from each class were awarded certificates.

  • An Inter Section Badminton Tournament (Boys) was held for classes III to V on 22nd Sep'16.  The best three students from each class were awarded certificates.

  • Drishti Dutta, a student of class VI bagged 2nd position in Inter School Solo Dance Competition organised by Avantika  at DAV Police Public School, Panipat on 17th Sep'16. 

  • An Inter House Quiz Competition was held on 16th Sep'16 for classes III to V.   Nilgiri and Aravalli houses jointly  bagged 1st position followed by Vindhyachal and Shivalik Houses.

  • The final of Inter House Football (Boys) match of classes III to V was held on 13th Sep'16.  Nilgiri House bagged 1st position and Vindhyachal House bagged 1st runner-up position.

  • An Intra Section Hindi Poem Recitation competition was held for class III on 8th Sep'16.  The topic were Nature, Rain, My Family, Books, Festivals and many more.  The best three students from each section were awarded certificates

  • The students celebrated Teacher's Day with gaiety and fervour. They presented an enthralling Cultural Programme on the occasion. The ceremony began with morning prayer followed by recitation of poems paying tribute to the teachers. Thereafter, the students of classes X and XI presented colourful dance and music performances. The celebration was coordinated by the Student Council.

  • 03 students, Nikhil Sharma, Priyesh Tiwary & Amitesh Ranjan of class XI qualified for the 2nd level of the Regional Mathematics Olympaid‐2016.  The first level of the RMO was held at DPS Panipat City on 4th Sep'16.

  • An Intra Section Hindi Poem Recitation Competition was held for class IV on 2nd Sep'16.  The topics were Nature,  My Mother and Patriotism.  The best three students from each section were awarded certificates.

  • 02 students (Antriksh Anand  & Aditi Anand)  got 1st & 3rd positions in U/11 & U/14 categories in the district level skating competition held at DPS Panipat city on 1st Sep'16 and qualified for the State Level Skating competition.

  • An Intra Section Hindi Paragraph Writing Competition was held for class V on 1st Sep'16.  The topics were Nature, My Mother and Patriotism.  The best three students from each section were awarded certificates.

  • The ″Budding Artist″ activity was held on 31st Aug'16.  The children participated in various activities like colouring, drawing, rhymes, singing etc.  All the participating kids were given a bouquet as a token of appreciation.

  • The school got Silver & Bronze Medals  in the Inter School Swimming Championship organized by Bal Vikas Progressive School on 30th Aug' 16. 

  • A school level painting competition on Energy Conservation organized by Bureau of Energy Association, Ministry of Power, Government of India was held in the school premises for the students of classes IV to IX on 29th Aug'16.  710 students participated in the competition under two categories - (IV - VI) and (VII - IX).

  • The Inter House Football Tournament for boys was held on 26th Aug' 16 for classes VIII to X.  Aravalli House bagged 1st  position followed by Vindhyachal House.

  • Janamashtami celebrations were organized on 24th Aug'16 in the school premises.  All kids of classes Nursery -  II were dressed as Krishna & Radha.  They were told about the birth of Lord Krishna and the importance of Janamashtami.

  • The Inter House Hindi Debate Competition was held on 24th Aug' 16 for classes IX & X.  The topic was ″Mahatavakanksha Shanti Ki Shatru Hai″.  Aravalli House bagged 1st  position and Shivalik House bagged 1st  runner-up position.

  • Kunal Bisht, a student of class VIII bagged 1st position in U/14 category in the Inter School Districit Karate Championship held at MASD Public School, Panipat on 23rd Aug' 16.

  • The school badminton teams (boys and girls) participated at the District School Badminton tournament for Boys and Girls (Categories U/17 & U/14) held at Rotary club, Panipat on 22nd & 29th Aug' 16.

  • The students of all SUPW Clubs exhibitted their work during Parent - Teacher Meet on 20th August 2016. The students of Literary Club presented a street play based on the theme 'Beti bachao Beti Padhao'.

  • 10 students from classes VII to X participated in the Intech Heritage Quiz‐2016 organised by an NGO at SDVM Panipat on 20th Aug'16.

  • The Intra Section Art & Craft Competition was held for classes III to V on 19th Aug' 16.  Each class was having different theme. Class III made flutes, class IV made crowns and class V made matkis (Pots).  All themes were related to Janamashtmi.   The best three students from each section were awarded certificates.

  • The school jointly with Panipat Refinery celebrated the Independence Day with great fan fare in the Refinery Township stadium.  The students from various classes took part in the march past and colourful cultural programmes organized on the occasion.

  • The Independence Day was celebrated for classes Nur to II on 14th Aug' 16.  The day was celebrated in order to enhance the knowledge of students regarding our freedom fighters & to tell them the  importance of national flag.

  • 07 students from IX & X participated in PAXMUN-16 held at DPS Greater Noida from 11th to 13th Aug' 16.

  • The Inter House English Debate Competition was held on 10th Aug'16 for classes IX & X.  The topic was ″India is a flawed democracy'.  Shivalik House bagged Ist position and Aravalli House bagged 1st runner-up position. Sanika Khurana of class X was selected as the best interjector.

  • 08 students from classes VI to X participated in Inter DPS Zonal Dance Competition ″Nrityanjali ‐ 2016″. The event was held at DPS Indirapuram on 6th August 2016. The students presented a beautiful classical dance performance.

  • Girls' Badminton Team of our school (Categories U/14 & U/17)  bagged 1st position  in the  Panipat Block Level Badminton Tournament held at Panipat on 4th & 6th  Aug'16 and has qualified for the District Level Tournament.

  • Keshav malik of class VII & Raghav Pahwa from class IX participated in the Inter DPS National Chess championship organized by the DPS Society at DPS Aligarh from 4th Aug to 6th Aug'16.

    • Boys' Badminton Team of our school (Categories U/14 & U/17) bagged 1st position in the Panipat  Block Level Badminton tournament held at Panipat on 1st & 2nd Aug'16 and has qualified for the District Level Tournament.

    • The school team participated in the School level Cricket tournament held at Panipat on 2nd & 3rd Aug'16.  05 students from U/14 & 02 students from U/17 categories and got selected at the Block level.

     A view of the Talk on Road Safety and Traffic Rules

    A talk on Road Safety and Traffic Rules was held in school on 29th July 2016 for the students of classes IX to XII. Mr. Mohit Aggarwal, Chief Judicial Magistrate, Panipat was the guest speaker on the occasion. He spoke to the students at length about the do's and don'ts while driving two wheelers. He advised them not to drive two wheelers until they reached the age of 18, but if at all they drove they must use helmet for their safety. he urged the students to ask their parents as well to use helmet while driving two wheelers. Further, he informed everyone about the initiatives taken by District Legal Council to spread awareness to minimise road accidents. He also spoke about the legal assistance given to the victims of road accidents by the council. At the end he appealed everyone to help the victim on road without losing any time, because timely action could save somebody's precious life.

    The talk of Mr. Aggarwal was followed by an interaction of Mr. Satyavan, Sub Inspector, Panipat. He spoke to the students about the various  reasons of road accidents. He also made them familiar with various road signs. He asked everyone to follow traffic rules for his/her safety. 

    During both the sessions students were shown very informative banners which were full of messages regarding road safety and traffic rules.

    • 07 students from classes VI to XI participated in the Inter DPS Information Technology Festival titled IT@Cutting Edge‐2016 organised by the DPS Society at DPS Gautam Budh Nagar on 30th July 2016.

    • A special assembly for classes Nur to II was organized in the month of July.  The theme for the special assembly was ″Sandwich party″.  Children made their own sandwiches and decorated them.  They learnt about table manners too. They also tapped their feet with the music.

    • 08 students from classes IX to XII participated in the Inter DPS Hindustani Vocal Music Festival‐2016 organised by the DPS Society at DPS Sushant Lok on 23rd July 2016.

    • Udita Khurana, a student of class X, bagged the  Best Interjector Award in the Inter School English Debate Competition held on the topic ″We are Happier than Our Forefathers″ at the Millenium School, Panipat on 18th July 2016.

    • A special assembly on Rabindra Nath Tagore was organized in the school premises on 11th July 2016. The students highlighted the contribution of Rabindra Nath Tagore towards society by sharing his literary work, song compositions and music etc.

    • An Inter House Badminton tournament for Boys was held on 11th July 2016 for classes VI to X.  Vindhyachal House bagged 1st position followed by Nilgiri House.

    • An Inter House Badminton tournament for Girls was held on 11th July 2016 for classes VI to X.  Shiwalik House bagged 1st position followed by Aravalli House.

    • 09 students (Categories U/14 & U/16) qualified for the 2nd phase of the Delhi L'il Cricket League ‐2016.  The first phase of this event was held at MDC National Stadium, Delhi on 25th June 2016.

    • The school organized a triangular cricket series for classes VI to IX (Category U/14) between Pannier Cricket Academy Delhi, Global Cricket Acadmy UP and the team of our school from 17th to 19th June 2016.  Our school team was the runner up in the series. 

    • The school organized a cricket series between Cambridge School, Phagwara (Punjab) and DPS Panipat Refinery from 8th to 11th June 2016.  Overall performance of our school players' was appreciable.

    • The World Environment Day was celebrated by the Eco Club of DPS Panipat Refinery in association with IOCL, Panipat Refinery on 4th and 5th June 2016.

      On 4th June'16 the program was inaugurated by Executive Director (I/C) in the presence of Dr.Annapurna Vancheswaran , Senior Director TERI and Ms. Deepika Dawar,  Art of Living. On this occasion, a Hindi play was presented by the students from 3rd to 10th Standard of our school. The topic of the play was - Aansu Bhari Nadi. The play was widely appreciated by the audience. On 5th June'16, our students along with IOCL township members took out a rally with slogans on saving trees and natural resources. The program ended with tree plantation by the dignitaries.

    • Inter House Basketball Competition (Girls) was organized on 20th May 2016 for classes VI to XI. Vindhyachal House bagged the first position and Shiwalik House got the second position.

    • Inter House Basketball Competition (Boys) was organized on 19th May 2016 for classes VI to XI. Vindhyachal House bagged the first position and Nilgiri House got the second position.

    • The school organized Investiture Ceremony followed by Inter House Music & Dance Competitions on 18th May 2016.  Shiwalik & Vindhyachal houses jointly bagged the first position for both the music and dance competitions. The occasion was also used to felicitate the achievers of various Olympiads and other competitions.

    • 12 students from classes IX ‐ XI participated in the Inter DPS Basketball Tournament (Boys) Open‐2016 organised by the DPS Society at DPS Dwarka from 6th to 8th May 2016.

    • 05 students from VI to X participated in the Annual Inter DPS Language & Literature Festival-″Triveni‐2016″ organized by the DPS Society at DPS Bulandshahr on 30th April 2016.

    • An Intra Section English Calligraphy Competition was held for classes III ‐ V on 29th April 2016.  The best three students from each section were awarded certificates.

    • Inter House Kho-Kho Competition (Girls) was organized on 28th April 2016 for classes III to V. Shiwalik House bagged the first position and Nilgiri House got the second position.

    • Master Raghav of class VII won the Trophy of PNB Metlife, Junior Badminton Championship U/11 yrs category and a scholarship amount of Rs. 70,000/- cash prize. The championship was organized by Badminton Association of India (BAI) at Thyagraj Stadium,  New Delhi from 26th to 28th April 2016. 

    • Inter House Table Tennis Competition (Girls)  was held on 22nd April 2016 for classes VI to X. Nilgiri, Shiwalik and Vindhyachal House got combined first position and Aravalli House got the second position.

    • Inter House Table Tennis Competition (Boys)  was held on 21st April 2016 for classes VI to X. Aravalli House bagged the first position followed by Nilgiri House.

    • A Special Assembly dedicated to the father of Indian Constitution, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, was organised in the school premises on 11th April 2016. Students prepared colourful banners highlighting words from the Indian Constitution.

    • Our school bagged second position in the  "Quiz Competition on Diabetes" organised by Civil Hospital Panipat on the occasion of World Health Day on 7th April 2016.

    Session: 2015-16

    • A Science Exhibition was organized by the students of classes VI to VIII during PTM on 6th February 2016. A book fair was also organized on the occasion.

    • The school, in association with Panipat Refinery, celebrated 67th Republic Day with gaiety and fervour. The students presented march past and various colourful cultural programmes.

    • Miss Aakanksha, a student of class VIII was selected to represent Haryana State in the National Level Badminton Tournament (U-14 category) which was held at Aurangabad (Maharashtra) from 5th to 10th Jan' 16. 

    • Ms. Mimansa, a student of class VIII, bagged a Bronze Medal (U-17 category) in 61st National School Fencing championship organized by the School Games Federation of India at Bhopal (MP) from 25th to 30th Dec 15.  She also bagged a Bronze Medal (Open Category) in the All India Fencing Championship organised by Fencing Federation of India in the month of December 2015.
